Man charged for Sydney CBD fraud

A man has been charged with numerous drug and fraud offences after police searched an apartment in the Sydney city centre.

Detectives arrested a 52-year-old man after allegedly finding a large amount of fraud-related documents and equipment inside his Kent Street apartment about 3am on Saturday.

Police allegedly found blank cards, a laminating machine, printers, a card embosser and documents in multiple names.

The man has been charged with possessing equipment for making identity information, and making false documents to obtain financial advantage.

He also has three outstanding warrants.

He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
