$30m richer: Sydney man wins entire division one prize
A Sydney man has woken up $30 million richer after winning last night's entire division one Powerball.
"I initially thought I’d won $7,000. It wasn’t until I checked it again that I realised I’d won division one," the winner who wishes to remain anonymous said.
The lucky Sydneysider says he is not sure what he will do with his newfound wealth, but says he plans to travel.
A NSW Lotteries spokesperson, Belinda McDougall, said they had no way of contacting the man because the ticket had not been registered.
“Instead of being able to contact the winner to let them know they were a millionaire thirty times over, we had to wait for the winner to contact us,” Ms McDougall said.
