Honeymooners' home destroyed in arson attack

A newly married couple has been cruelly targeted in one of two arson attacks north and south of Adelaide overnight.

The honeymooners were due to move into their nearly completed Gawler East home in a few weeks, but they now face a total rebuild.

The damage is estimated at more than $400,000.

The couple is still holidaying overseas and their family had the difficult task of passing on the bad news by telephone.

Meantime, arsonists set an unoccupied Port Noarlunga South property on fire overnight, leaving it gutted.
