Boys allegedly use knife in deli hold-up

Two boys, one allegedly armed with a knife, have tried to rob a deli, but only escaped with some food from the counter.

Police say the two boys entered the deli at Peterhead, in Adelaide’s western suburbs, just before 2.30pm and demanded cash and cigarettes.

One of the alleged suspects was wearing a mask while the other had a knife.

Police say the alleged suspects stole food from the counter and ran away without any money.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Both boys are described as in their early teens, of Caucasian appearance, one wearing a red t-shirt and the other had long dark hair.
