Thousands go wild for Bieber on Sunrise

Thousands of screaming teenage girls have packed into the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney’s Circular Quay for Justin Bieber day on Sunrise.

Die-hard fans of the Canadian pop superstar slept out in the freezing cold overnight to ensure they got the best seats when gates opened this morning.

Since then it’s been non-stop screaming as the fans waited for their hero to arrive on stage.

Justin finally took to the stage just before 8am, performing the hit song from his new album, As Long As You Love Me.

He then went on to hold an impromptu mini-concert and sing-along in the Sunrise ad breaks and took questions from fans.

Sunrise received tens-of-thousands of entries to win tickets to the exclusive concert – but there were only 3000 lucky winners.

There was a heavy police presence at Circular Quay this morning, with officers patrolling the concert’s perimeter on foot and in the water.

The pop heartthrob announced that he will return to Australia next year as part of his Believe world tour.
