Speeding along Logan Road in Mt Gravatt and Old Cleveland Road in Carindale, police pursued the allegedly stolen vehicle into Brisbane's CBD heading on to South Bank and West End.

It is understood the driver traversed the city's east, south and west.

At 4.30pm the white 4WD linked with a black BMW Z4 coupe on Moggill Road at Toowoong, also understood to be stolen.

Police had reportedly been on the look-out for two stolen vehicles taken earlier this morning.

At 5.06pm the driver of the white 4WD drove into multi-level car park of Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre near Forest Lake.

Three occupants of the 4WD were cornered by police, who deployed a dog squad, and were subsuquently arrested around 5.20pm in the shopping mall car park.

A 7News helicopter relayed dramatic video of the chase unfolding for the last half-an-hour of the nearly 120 minute pursuit.
