Man tries to abduct young girl

SA Police are investigating an attempted abduction, after a teenage girl told police a man tried to grab her last night.

The girl said she was walking down Causeway Rd at Glanville just before 4.30, when she said she noticed a red, VX Holden Commodore following her.

She turned down nearby Carlisle St and said the Commodore pulled up in front of her, and a man got out and tried to grab her by the arm.

The girl managed to break free and run off.

The man is described as Caucasian, in his thirties, of medium build with spiky blonde-brown hair and was unshaven.

The girl said he was wearing a red-brown flannel shirt, black track pants and he had sunglasses on top of his head.

The car is believed to be the 2000 - 2002 model, with the first letter of the number plate starting with a 'C'.
