Cyber-bullied teen subject of online taunts after death

A teenage girl who took her own life after relentless online bullying has been the subject of more cruel online taunts.

14-year-old Daani Sanders attended Crestwood High School in Sydney's Baulkham Hills until her parents withdrew her and moved the family to Queensland four months ago.

She'd become a target of Facebook site called 'Hills Gossip' which has since been removed.

She'd been bullied on and off for some time, but on Tuesday night it all became too much for her and she took her own life.

Most remembered her as a smart, popular and pretty girl whose life ended too soon.

In a cruel twist, last night her Facebook tribute page set up by friends was the target of more hateful comments.

Trolls wrote insensitive and rude comments and added disrespectful pictures.

Posters were outraged: "The disrespectful people writing nasty comments on this page need to step back and realise that it’s people like them that cause these tragic things to happen."

"Personally knew this beautiful girl and its so disgusting that she felt she had to do wat she has done in order to be in peace and at peace with herself. If your the person who is responsible for all of this you are in for a shock, When your found you will wish you was never born. Daani rest now babe and watch over your family xxx"

"i dont know who you are.. but your free of all this pain the world brings. keep on keeping on♥"

Other posters urged the group to be made private so friends and relatives could mourn in peace.
