Queensland has recorded no new locally acquired coronavirus cases on Boxing Day but one person in hotel quarantine has tested positive.
The new infection brings to 11 the number of active cases in Queensland, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said in a tweet.
The person acquired the virus overseas.
It comes after two people travelling on a superyacht in the state's north have tested positive, with the second confirmed on Christmas Day.
The vessel arrived in Cairns from the Maldives on Monday and a female crew member in her 20s was taken to hospital after testing positive.
A man aged in his 30s from the same vessel tested positive on Friday, Queensland Health confirmed.
Some 14 guests and crew have been directed to hotel quarantine while six other crew members remain on the vessel.
The superyacht cases are the centre of a police investigation.
Also testing positive on Friday was a second recent international arrival, in hotel quarantine in Brisbane.
The latest cases bring Queensland's infection total to 1241.
Nearly 2000 people were tested in the past 24 hours, while more than 5200 tests were conducted in the previous 24 hours.
