Zachary Levi Sends a Controversial Political Message Amid Los Angeles Fires
Zachary Levi is unapologetically criticizing the California government for its handling of the ongoing Palisades Fire and other wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
Levi, who grew up in Ventura, Calif., and spent 15 years in Los Angeles, appeared on Fox News' Jesse Watters Primetime on Wednesday, Jan. 8, where he called on the state's leaders to take accountability for the devastating destruction plaguing the city.

According to the Shazam! actor, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and the rest of the state's leadership have been handling the situation poorly.
While comparing the footage of the burning fires to "watching a post-apocalyptic war film," Levi, 44, said, "This is just incredible mismanagement, incredibly poor leadership."
Noting that some of the area's "worst" firestorms have taken place under Newsom's watch, Levi accused the state leadership of even being "criminally negligent."
"[Newsom] clearly knows that the biggest problem that we suffer in California are these fires. And, by the way, the mudslides that follow," Levi continued. "And for them to do essentially, not just nothing, but worse than nothing, when firefighter budgets are being cut, when they are specifically, intentionally not doing the work that could be done to avoid these problems or to be able to effectively serve them when they are happening."
"I have no idea why they are doing or not doing the things that they are doing. But they must be held responsible," the Chuck alum further insisted, while adding, "This is not good leadership."
Aside from calling out those in positions of power, Levi made a point to say, "Most importantly, I think we should be holding every single person in Southern California, everybody affected by these fires, we should be holding them up in prayer."
He added that he is "just sending as much light and love to everybody who's being affected right now."
