A devastated YouTube star has lashed out at online trolls following the death of her newborn son after she was reportedly accused of faking his illness.

Parenting vlogger Brittani Boren Leach, who has 174,000 subscribers on the video sharing site, shared an image of son Crew’s small casket at his funeral last week, following a barrage of vile comments online questioning whether her son was even ill, The Sun reported.

“Please keep in mind that we can see your comments, questions and conversations with one another,” she said on social media.

"Put yourself in our shoes (which is impossible to do) and ask yourself If you’d want to read what you’re about to write or say."

One follower even asked if the small coffin was real, The Sun claimed.

The 29-year-old from Texas, US, has visually documented her son’s condition and subsequent death on Instagram with a series of posts after he was found not breathing on Christmas Day.

He suffered extensive brain damage and later died on December 30.

“I pray that you will never have to experience what I have... see the things I’ve seen... or read the things I’ve read, in the past week and a half,” she said in a post one week ago.

Crew’s funeral took place five days ago.
