A young mum of three has been murdered while making an Uber Eats delivery.

Ryan Munsie, 31, was found lying outside an apartment building on Saturday night (local time) by a resident and showed “obvious signs of trauma,” police in Fort Worth, Texas, said.

The exact cause of death has been withheld, however police are investigating it as a murder.

“She was working as a delivery driver for a meal delivery service when this offence occurred,” police said in a statement.

The deceased was working four jobs to help provide for her family after Covid impacted their income, local outlet WFAA reported.

Her husband, Camaron Graham, said he wouldn’t wish the pain he feels on anybody.

“She wanted to make everyone happy, she wanted to work, and she wanted to make sure our kids had a set future,” he told WFAA.

“The most important thing about her was her work ethic and her love for her children.”

Graham said it’s been the hardest week of his life and he hopes for an arrest will provide some understanding to the senseless tragedy.

“Every day I have to wake up thinking it’s a nightmare, but I have to re-live it ... My worst enemy shouldn’t feel this pain,” he said in the interview Wednesday (local time).

Ms Munsie’s sister, Erin, penned a heartfelt post on Facebook the day after her sister was killed.

“I don’t want to make this post because it makes it more real.

“We were all so proud of her, delivering UberEats to earn extra money due to cuts in their income due to Covid,” she wrote.

“This is how she died. An UberEats delivery. I didn’t know a person could feel this level of sadness.”

A GoFundMe page to raise funds for the funeral and her partner has already exceeded its US$30,000 target.

Local police offered a modest cash reward for information that helps lead to an arrest of Ms Munsie’s killer.

Late on Wednesday night (local time), police said they had made an arrest over the killing of Ms Munsie, with details to come the following day.

It is the second murder of a delivery driver in the north Texas area in the past month after 65-year-old man Timothy Allen was found shot dead in his car while out delivering packages for e-commerce giant Amazon.

The perpetrator in that murder is yet to be identified.
