Young drivers in this Aussie state will soon be restricted to having just one passenger in their car from December 1st he played as in western Australia, will be restricted to one passenger for their first six months behind the wheel.
The new law aims to reduce distraction among young drivers as they navigate Aussie roads and comes as Western Australia is on track to record one of the worst years for road deaths in a decade.
W a premier Roger Cook, said the new rule is a practise, sensible and enforceable step to protect young drivers and their loved ones.
P players will be fined $200.02 demerit points if they're caught breaching the one passenger restriction.
There are exemptions to the rule with immediate family members and any passengers who are a requirement for the driver's employment allowed to be in the car.
Additional passengers who are experienced drivers who have held an ordinary C class licence for at least four years are also exempt
