Young boy taken to hospital after suspected snake bite at school
A young boy has been taken to hospital following a potential snake bite at a Queensland primary school.
He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after paramedics were called to Stella Maris Catholic Primary School in Maroochydore about 10.40am on Wednesday.
The student suffered a wound to his lower leg, a Queensland Ambulance spokesman confirmed to Yahoo7 News.
The spokesman said the boy was in a stable condition during transit.
He said there had been conflicting reports as to whether the boy had been bitten by a snake or suffered the wound from “bumping” into something in the playground.
