'So, so wrong': Woman filmed shaving legs in Queensland public pool

A woman who decided a Queensland public pool was an appropriate place to shave her legs has created an online storm.

Her actions were captured on video by Daniel McKenzie at the Airlie Beach Lagoon on Monday afternoon.

Mr McKenzie said she didn’t try to hide what she was doing and even washed the razor off in the water.

“I just had to film it as it was so, so wrong,” Mr McKenzie told the Daily Mercury.

He said he was shocked by her poolside grooming and that at the time there were a number of people in the water.

“Really wasn’t appropriate and showed a complete disregard for others,” Mr McKenzie told Yahoo7.

Some people who have seen the video were left scratching their heads, with quite a few disgusted by the actions.

“Rarely I’m lost for words but this has done it,” a person wrote on Facebook.

“Oooh gross someone could swallow the water with her hair in it,” said another.

However, others pointed out that public swimming areas are not necessarily the cleanest spots to take a dip.

“I’m sure kids pee in it all the time and Seagulls that crap in it. The water is treated for a reason u know,” one social media user said.

While another wrote it is “not the worst thing that happens in that pool”.

Mr McKenzie wrote online that the lifeguards had not noticed the woman’s actions but he reported it to them and “they were straight onto it from there.”
