A woman has been caught brazenly stealing all the money from her New York Uber driver's tip jar as he dropped her and her friends off.

As she prepares to get out of the car she quickly dips her hand in the jar and cleans out every last cent.
The passengers run across the street and the driver only becomes aware that his money jar is empty after they are gone.
The Uber driver lodged a complaint with his company but was told he would have to take his dash cam footage to police, as the rider had denied she had stolen anything.
According to News Corp, the Uber driver said he had been too busy to contact police, but the passenger's account has since been deactivated and she is no longer allowed to use the service.
Uber is a cashless, card-debiting system but it is becoming increasingly common - and completely legal - for Uber drivers to solicit tips from passengers.
