WATCH: Abused dog who was scared of people falls in love with baby

He might not be able to speak or even stand up very well, but a baby boy is helping his family’s rescue dog learn to love again.

After a life of neglect and abuse, Nora became “afraid of almost everything” – that was until she met Archie.

Elizabeth Spence picked up the English Pointer from a Canadian dog shelter, however she struggled to transition given her overwhelming fear of human contact.

But when little Archie was born, that quickly changed.

The pair developed an immediate bond, with Nora refusing to leave the youngster’s side, even cuddling up to him when he takes a nap.



“If Archie is having a bath, Nora is lying on the bath mat waiting for him to get out,” Ms Spence told pet website Dodo.

“If I’m nursing him she wants up on my lap, too.

“She came from an abusive background and is afraid of almost everything. Not Archie, though. She absolutely adores him!”

Documenting their adorable friendship on Instagram, the young mum certainly has her hands full taking care of three children, three rescue cats and three rescue dogs.

The account has become a smash hit, amassing nearly 100,000 followers.
