A volunteer hand delivered Relay to her owners on Friday night, after a 22 hour-drive, The Palm Beach Post reported.

A welcome home banner and balloons hung outside to welcome Relay home, while her 18-year-old owner Richard Moneck eagerly waited.

“I’m so excited. I get to spend time with my old friend,” he said.

It was an emotional reunion as family and friends huddled around Richard as he hugged Relay for the first time in months, as tears flowed.

“It’s just a miracle she’s home,” Richard’s mother said. “It’s been a year and seven months.”
