WATCH: Passers-by save baby boy falling from apartment window
The confronting moment a baby ball fell from a fifth-floor window has been captured on video.
The grainy vision shows the baby falling what appears to be several floors before being miraculously caught by by-standers below.
The Good Samaritans, who local media described as migrant workers, held a blanket outstretched and managed to catch the baby, saving the bub from seemingly crashing directly to the ground.
According to The Sun the boy was seen by passers-by on the edge of the window before he lost his grip and started fallling.
The shocking vision was filmed by a nearby neighbour, who witnessed the horrifying freefall.
The one-year-old was being cared by his mother when she fell asleep after working a long shift and the baby's father was at work, local media has reported.
The child had crawled onto the windowsill while the mum was asleep.
Local media reported the incident occurred in Arsenyev in south-eastern Russia’s Primorsky Krai region.
The baby remarkably survived the dramatic fall however was taken to hospital after hitting his head on a metal railing on the way down, according to reports.
Local authorites thanked the people that saved the baby’s life and said they are investigating the mother over child neglect.
