Tributes flow for SA 'angel' killed at London Bridge
Tributes are coming from around the globe for a young South Australian who died trying to help victims of the London Bridge terror attack.
Kirsty Boden is being remembered as a kind and generous woman whose actions were nothing short of heroic.
From London to Loxton, her death has shattered hearts around the world.
"Kirsty was just such a great kid, she was energetic, she was involved in everything," Immanuel College acting principal Steve Blight said.
"She was just loved by everybody."
The 28-year-old former Immanuel College student had lived in the UK for several years and was a nurse at Guys Hospital, not far from London Bridge.
In a statement her family said: "As Kirsty ran towards danger to help people on the bridge she sadly lost her life.
"We are so proud of Kirsty's brave actions which demonstrate how selfless, caring and heroic she was."
The English press are calling her "the angel of London Bridge".
There were heartfelt words from Prince Harry, who said: "Our hearts go out to the victims, their friends and families."
Hospital staff are mourning the loss of one of their own.
"Kirsty Boden was a wonderful, fabulous, inspirational nurse," Chief Nurse Dame Eileen Sills .
"The students she mentored just thought she was absolutely superb".
Premier Jay Weatherill acknowledged a profound loss that's touched the hearts of many.
"A country girl from South Australia dying in an act of global terrorism seems to reach into every one of our homes", he said.
