Toddler rides his mini bike into traffic, saved by a police officer

A toddler in China had a lucky escape after riding his bike onto a busy street in a bid to find his mother.

The one-year-old was caught on nearby security cameras riding out into the Lishui City traffic, as motorists and a bus driver maneuver and honk around him.

Sadly, none of the drivers stop to help the child.

A nearby police officer is then seen running to the child's aid as motorists continue to swerve around.

“The boy was dangerously close to traffic, so I picked him up and took him onto the pavement," traffic cop Wu Feng told local media.

“He told me he had become separated from his mum and was looking for her."

Fortunately for the child, his mother was located nearby and he was returned to her safely.
