DALLAS SHOOTING: The moment America turned into a war zone
Terrified Dallas residents have taken to social media as chaos unfolded in the city streets after 11 police officers were caught in gunfire, including four who were shot dead.

Twitter user allisongriz witnessed the harrowing scene filmed from the balcony of her living room apartment as Thursday night’s fatal Black Lives Matter protest erupted in chaos.
As the sound of sirens created a sense of panic through the streets of inner-city Dallas, deafening gunfire was heard cracking through the night air.
While recording the violent scene on Thursday night, Allison and her boyfriend were unaware of the lives lost and rioting happening in their neighborhood.
"Oh my God, there's people laying on the ground. I hope they're just hiding," she can be heard saying as the pair watch the harrowing scene unfold below.
"What the f*** is going on?" her boyfriend asks, as the unrelenting shots rumble.
"Somebody is really armed to the teeth. This is not one person,”
“I’m so scared,” Allison said.
“Oh my God” she says, repeatedly as more shots can be heard.
In a follow-up Tweet, the witness said: There were so many shots you guys. I'm so scared to find out how many people are hurt or killed.”
She later Tweeted that the video didn't catch HALF of the shots she heard from her home.
“There were so many [shots]. It was terrible” she wrote.
“I am devastated… I'm in shock. I can't believe this happened here at my home.”
Local news reporter Sarah Mervosh was also live-tweeting as the terrifying protest unfolded.
"Cop yelling at people to get back. 'Shots fired. We don't want y'all to be a casualty. Let's go'," Ms Mervosh Tweeted.
She was there the moment police arrest a man who witnesses say was protester.
“Chant: ‘Why is he going to jail? He's black!’” she added.
The violent protest comes after the shooting deaths of two black men in Minnesota and Louisiana this week, shot by police officers.
