'Donald Trump where are you': Man in crazed, naked rant stops New York's Times Square for an hour

A naked man was filmed climbing buildings while ranting about Donald Trump and fashion photographers, as he brought New York's Times Square to a standstill during the morning rush-hour.

The scene unfolded just before 8am Thursday (local time) as the man stripped off his yellow shirt and black pants and began screaming at a random woman outside the Disney store.

The man, later identified as 21-year-old model Krit McClean, took his watch off and threw it at the woman, the New York Post reports.

McClean was reportedly told to put his clothes back on and he did, briefly, before stripping again and shouting obscenities at strangers on the street.

He then climbed to the top of the TKTS building and continued to shout and scream while prancing and gesticulating his naked body about.

Witnesses described McClean as "agitated" and when police approached he started shouting, "Get that b**** Debbie, I want to talk to Debbie!"

From a ledge nearly five metres high, McClean then started to call out to Republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump.

"Donald Trump where are you, Donald Trump where the f*** are you?!"

Traffic was blocked off as police tried to talk the man down, but they were no closer to a resolution after an hour into his episode.

He then started to proclaim his love for fashion, telling gathered New Yorkers, tourists and the NYPD, "I love fashion, it's taught me so much."

McClean then name-dropped two prominent fashion photographers.

"I love you, Bruce Weber… I love you, Mario Testino," he said.

With police trying get through to him, McClean started dancing, shaking his genitals and blowing kisses to the crowd while shouting how he was a virgin and loved his mother.

Police continued to try and talk him down, but the young man spat in their faces.

Despite this, officers remained calm and stoic as they handled the spectacle.

"He was extremely combative," an NYPD spokesman told the Post.

"He was spitting at us and swinging his arms."

Police eventually inflated a giant airbag, which the man tried to jump on to from his five-metre platform, ending the hour-long performance that entertained thousands in the morning.

But McClean missed the bag and was taken to hospital with minor injuries but is reported to be in a stable condition.

"This is pure entertainment," said commuter Peter Timmins told the paper.

"Nobody wants this to be their loved one but it’s not mine so I can laugh about it a little."
