Woman kicked out of Rihanna concert after brawl breaks out in crowd

A young woman was caught on camera tearing at a security guard's shirt as she was thrown out of a Rihanna concert for taking part in a brawl authorities insist didn't happen.

British concert-goers recorded the incident as it broke out while they were waiting for the US pop star to take the stage on Saturday night.

YouTube footage obtained by the Coventry Telegraph shows a fight between two young women at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry, where an army of security intervened and threw one of the fans out of the stadium.

Fans can be heard screaming as one of the girls tries to grab hold of another concert-goer in the standing area of the arena.

The brawl is believed to have happened minutes before the starlet was due to perform as part of her of Anti World Tour.

Police denied arrests were made at the show but confirmed a number of calls “reporting various disorders and different things” had been received, however the concert unfolded without any trouble.

“One call was received from a woman saying she had been assaulted but the caller hung up and when officers called her back the telephone rang out,” a spokeswoman told the Coventry Telegraph.

“Officers even went to where she said she was in the Ricoh Arena but there was no sign of her.”

The spokeswoman said police had a strong presence inside and outside the stadium for the event.

One Twitter user was quick to point out stupidity of the women’s actions.

"Why would you spend £60+ on a ticket to see Rihanna to then have a fight and get kicked out?????" she wrote on Sunday.

Another said: "Rihanna was amazing - obviously. Shame for the massive fight before she came on."
