Hundreds of fishermen flee as ice floe crumbles from underneath them

Hundreds of Russian fishermen can be seen scrambling for their lives after a massive chunk of ice crumbled and split apart from beneath their feet.

The incident occurred on the lakes in the Magadan Oblast located north east of Russia, local news station ren.tv reports.

It was reported that at first most of the fisherman failed to notice the large sheet of ice underneath them had even cracked.

But things escalate quickly as the giant chunk of ice begins to drift away from the land.

Witness pulled out their cameras and catch the moment the giant group of fisherman scramble for their belongings as the ice floe begins to widen even more.

People can be heard shouting in Russian: "Come on, come on, quickly assembled rods rather sharper, sharper!!!".

One man can be seen juggling with death as he stands with his legs either side of the crack laughing.

Another fisherman wastes no time and can be seen zooming across the giant ice crack on his snowmobile with another person hitching a ride in the back

Fortunately all of the fishermen were left shocked and nobody was injured, according to the news source.
