Doctor jailed after killing patient with punch in examination room
A Russian doctor who was caught on camera punching a patient has been jailed for nine years after the man died from his injuries.
Video emerged of surgeon Ilya Zelendinov punching the man, knocking him backwards and causing a head injury in January.

While investigators claimed Zelendinov punched the man because he had kicked a female nurse, the court did not spare him a lengthy sentence.
In the graphic footage, the doctor drags the patient from an examination table and demands to know why he touched the nurse.
When the man stands up, the doctor punches him in the face, knocking him back to the floor.
The doctor also scuffles with another man who had accompanied the patient.
The first man was left lying on the floor motionless for several minutes before staff attempted to revive him.
Investigators initially said Zelendinov could face two years in prison for causing death through negligence.
“The cause of death of the victim was trauma to the skull and brain from hitting the back of the head on the hard surface of the floor,” they said.
