Grinch thief targeted house at Christmas while the homeowners slept

This is the scary moment a thief managed to rob a house in Texas, while the owners were home.

The heartless thief, struck around 12.30am on Christmas Day, when the Dallas homeowners were believed to be sleeping.

The unknown suspect entered through an unlocked sliding glass door at the rear of a house, according to Dallas Police.

CCTV shows the thief spent nearly 15 minutes wandering around and inside the property, without alerting the homeowners.

He entered and exited the home multiple time and spent more than a minute trying to remove a flat screen television from a wall bracket, which cannot have been quiet.

After working up a sweat with his seemingly failed attempt to steal the television, the thief moved on to smaller items.

The home owners were needless to say shocked, when they woke up on Christmas morning to find that it was a Grinch, not Santa Clause that had paid them a visit.

Dallas Police believe the man, who left the property with multiple items, is also responsible for the theft of a wedding ring and cash from another home on December 17.

The homeowner who was present during that robbery, locked herself in the bathroom and called 911, before firing one shot at the suspect.

The previous incident clearly didn’t deter the thief who did not bother to cover up his face while robbing either property.

The Dallas Police Department are currently seeking public assistance to identify the man.
