CCTV catches young boy robbing elderly woman
A young boy has been caught on camera stealing from an elderly woman inside a German supermarket.
CCTV cameras show the cunning thief sneak up behind the 74-year-old as she shopped at a store in Senden, North Rhine-Westphalia, on August 12.
The boy can be seen reaching through the woman's walking frame and into her bag, searching for her pursue.
The woman is completely oblivious to his actions and continues to browse the shelves for food.
After several failed attempts, the boy deliberately knocks an item off a shelf so the woman is distracted.
As she bends over to pick it up, he seizes his opportunity, and rifles greedily through her bag.
After what seems like an eternity, the boy pulls out the woman's purse and then backs away undetected.
She continues shopping, completely unaware of what has happened.
Police are investigating the incident.
