News presenter doesn't realise she is on live TV

Audiences watching BBC News got an unexpected surprise when a morning news bulletin opened with presenter Caroline Walker brushing her hair.

When the camera cut to her live in the studio for the 9am news bulletin, Walker was busy making some final adjustments to her appearance.

For seven long seconds Walker finished running the brush through her blonde locks, before bending down beside her desk to put the brush away.

When she finally realised that the cameras were rolling she didn’t even skip a beat.

As the bulletin music played Walker put on her serious news voice and welcomed viewers to the show while her handbag was still propped up on the desk.

This isn’t the first time that a TV presenter has been caught off guard, as there are plenty of things that can go wrong when the camera starts rolling.
