Crazy animation re-caps Lord Sewel scandal
Until very recently, very few people had ever heard of British Lord Baron John Sewel.
That was, of course, until The Sun newspaper outed him in a cocaine fueled, bra-wearing frollick with a pair of prostitutes.
The ensuing scandal has launched the former parliamentary standards commissioner to prominence around the world, and now he’s even the star of his very own cartoon.
But if the scandal itself was bizarre, Taiwanese news animators NMA TV have done one better with this masterpiece.
The clip has it all – a bra wearing politician, enormous piles of cocaine, Rupert Murdoch manning a video camera and, for some reason, Queen Elizabeth II wearing a jet pack and brandishing a rocket launcher.
Chun Li, from Street Fighter, shows up to beat up the disgraced Lord, before he jumps out of a window to ride Thomas the Tank Engine away from a mob of news cameraman, before Her Royal Highness blows him off the street with her bazooka.
Oh, and there's Prime Minister David Cameron in his underpants and a sequence of he and Lord Sewel pursuing Saddam Hussein through the desert on an army tank.
The scandal has plagued the disgraced Lord for weeks.
It has led to calls for reform of the House of Lords, where most members are appointed for life by the governments of the day.
But after holding out against a rising tide of protest, and as the scandal became news around the world, the embattled John Sewel finally decided to step down.
