A convicted two-time sex offender has had his testicles removed in jail after he was diagnosed with cancer.

Paul Catterall, from the United Kingdom, was sentenced to seven years behind bars for an attack on an 18-year-old woman in an alleyway outside a nightclub in Bolton.

The court heard the 24-year-old, who was high on cocaine at the time, had initially tried to kiss the teenager but was rejected.

He then pulled her hair and sexually assaulted her.

The victim told the court she was too afraid to leave her house after the incident and lost friendships as a result.

In a karmic twist, Catterall was later diagnosed with testicular cancer while on remand in prison.

He had both his testicles removed.

“It’s apt that he did this, and has now had his testicles removed. He is a brute and a monster,” a family friend told Metro.

Catterall was previously convicted for putting his hand up a woman’s skirt in 2009.
