Cannabis found in four-year-old's closet
Police who raided a Whanganui man’s house found something unsuspecting in a four-year-old girl’s closet.
Seventeen plants of cannabis were found in Paul David Cleeve’s home, including a number of plants in his step-daughter’s closet, after Whanganui police conducted a search.
Cleeve appeared at the Whanganui District Court where he pleaded guilty to cultivating cannabis.
NZME reported Cleeve told police he had only been growing the plants for a couple of weeks and that it was only for personal use.
Cleeve to 80 hours community service and ordered all drug-related paraphernalia to be destroyed.
Cleeve has no previous drug convictions.
