A local health campaigner said her actions had caused great distress for the victim’s families.

“It is clear that while she was taking these photographs she was not looking after her patients,” Artem Golubev said.

“She shows a callous disregard for the welfare of her patients, some of whom died after those pictures were taken.

Golubev said relatives were considering taking legal action over the photos.

An emergency services spokesperson said Kulikov’s actions were inexcusable.

“As soon as we were alerted to these images online we suspended the paramedic in question,” they said.

“After an investigation was carried out, the employee was fired.”
