Burnie couple in court over amphetamine lab charges

A north-west Tasmanian couple has appeared in court to face charges relating to an amphetamine lab uncovered by Burnie police last year.

Andrew Whiley, 29, and Zoe Whiley, 32, are both charged with manufacturing a controlled drug and possessing a thing used for the administration of a drug.

The charges relate to the raid of a Burnie home in November last year, which police allege uncovered a clandestine amphetamine lab and a small amount of liquid speed.

Andrew Whiley pleaded not guilty and was bailed to reappear in court on April 13.

Zoe Whiley's charges were adjourned without plea to May 11.
