News channel apologises for showing AirAsia body
One of the television stations that caused outrage by broadcasting live video of a body from the AirAsia tragedy floating in the ocean has apologised.
Indonesian channel TV One broadcast rescue crews locating bodies and debris in the Java Sea live on Tuesday as news of the discovery was just breaking.
This live feed was then picked up by several other outlets in the region, including Channel News Asia in Singapore, The Express reports.
Channel News Asia later took to Twitter to apologise for showing the body.
We apologise for graphic images on our TV feed that were inadvertently shown from a live feed, taken directly from an Indonesian TV station.

Relatives of passengers on AirAsia flight QZ8501 began crying hysterically and fainting upon seeing the body on the screens.
At least two were carried away on stretchers.
TV One showed the live video of crews finding the bodies in a split screen with live reactions from the families at the crisis centre at Surabaya Airport in Java, The Express reported.
Since then, Twitter users have used the hashtag #ShameOnYouTVONE to express their anger.
