Woolworths website outage disrupts online shopping orders
The Woolworths supermarket website and app were down on Monday morning, with many people across Australia unable to order make online orders.
Yahoo News Australia understands the systems went down at 7.30am on Monday and while customers were unable to place a new order, all exisiting orders have been dispatched.
However, online services were back up by 10.30am on Monday.
A pop-up on the Woolworths app confirmed the "problem".
"Our service is experiencing a problem right now," the message on the app said while the app was down.

"We are working to restore the functionality shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience."
In a statement to Yahoo News Australia, a Woolworths spokesperson confirmed the company was experiencing technical issues which are impacting both the website and mobile apps.

"Our website and apps are now back up and running for our customers to place online orders," a Woolworths spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia after the issues were resolved.
"We know our online services are playing a key role supporting the essential needs of many customers across the country right now.
"We’re very sorry for the inconvenience the outage caused our customers this morning and thank them for their patience as we worked to resolve it as quickly as possible."
Yahoo News Australia understands Woolworths is still investigating the cause of the crash.
Several people on social media flagged their concerns with Woolworths.
"Just wanting to know if anyone else is having trouble getting online at Woolworth's at the moment, been trying for hour and won't load up at all," one person said on Facebook.
"I keep getting an error message that it's busy. I guess it's a high class problem to have but doesn't help me right now. Any clue when this may be resolved?" another person said.
Amid the Covid outbreaks across the country, customers have placed their shopping orders online and used Click and Collect services.
