Woolworths shopper buys $60 worth of roast pork for $12: 'Amazing'

A Woolworths shopper has shared how she scored a range of big-ticket items for a fraction of the price.

Taking to social media, the shopper said she had always watched others share their incredible bargain grocery hauls but had never shared her own.

That was until she recently scored a huge number of drastically reduced items, including fruit and vegetables, pre-made salads, and items from the bakery department.

But her most impressive score was on the Woolies Crackled Pork Loin.

“Woolies thought they were in for a busy day, but apparently it was surprisingly quiet so they had to reduce around 20 of those amazing crackled porks,” she explained on the popular Bargain Addicts Australia Facebook Page.

“We were more than happy to help clear them out with a $16 saving on each.”

Marked down to just $4, the pre-made pork usually retails for $20. The shopper excitedly explained she scored enough for three meals.

“One for tonight, one for tomorrow and one for the bestie! Lots of other little bargains too,” she said.

The shopper went on to say that the sale items didn’t last long, adding “they went ridiculously quick!!”

Among her other bargain buys were a bag of 98 cent mandarines, a $1.05 pack of pears, a $4.17 family-sized whole chicken, and a $1.20 large potato salad.

Fellow bargain shoppers couldn’t believe her luck.

“Excellent score. Especially the pork!” one impressed shopper said.

“Nice score!” added another.

More meat haul bargains

A fellow Woolworths shopper also revealed she found incredible savings in-store on roast lamb.

“Woo hoo finally… right place right time!!” she wrote alongside an image of two large roasts reduced down to $4.58.

The roasts were originally $22 each, so she saved a whopping $35.84 on both.

Others commented saying her score was “epic” and with some adding they had score similar bargains recently too.

“Last night I got two roast lambs, four packs of chicken tenderloins, two packs of chicken drumsticks and two packs of pork stir-fry for $33.95 at Woolies all marked down,” one shopper said.

“Awesome, I got a couple a few months ago. So worth the wait for a delicious slow-roasted lamb shoulder. Enjoy your awesome bargain, so jealous haha!” shared another.

“Best bargain I’ve seen in a long while... enjoy your bounty,” added a third.
