Woolworths checkouts down in Metro stores across Australia
Woolworths stores across Australia are currently dealing with an outage impacting checkouts in about 30 stores.
The IT issue impacted the stores on Thursday evening affecting checkouts mostly in Metro stores, a Woolworths spokesperson confirmed.
"We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. There are no issues with the Woolworths website," the spokesperson said.
"We apologise to our customers in those impacted stores for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience as we work through this IT issue."
Yahoo News Australia understands the outage isn't specific to one state or territory in Australia, but rather it is impacting stores across the country.
"You can’t buy a thing," former journalist Mike Carlton remarked on Twitter, regarding the outage.
