Woman's touching act after car park bingle

A woman’s kind actions after a minor car park bingle have restored some social media users’ faith in humanity.

Brooke Doughty wrote on Facebook that a woman named Ingrid hit her Prado while it was parked at Kawana Shoppingworld on the Sunshine Coast last week, leaving “minimal” damage.

But the woman did not drive off, she went out of her way to try and make it right.

“She then ran back into the shops to get a pen & paper to write a lovely note to ask us to call her,” Ms Doughty explained in a post online.

Ms Doughty said quotes for the repair were “ridiculous” despite the minor damage.

In the note left behind Ingrid apologised and left her number, and then on Sunday she took $200 cash, chocolates and wine to Ms Doughty’s home.

But, what the note didn’t reveal is the difficult situation the woman named Ingrid is currently going through.

According to the post on Facebook, Ingrid has quit for job to care for her husband who has motor neurone disease. She also cares for their 10-year-old son.

“She made me feel so grateful. What an amazing person, ” Ms Doughty wrote.
