Woman's skull fractured and man injured after shocking brick-throwing attack
Police are searching for four men they believe can help them with an investigation into a shocking brick attack on a man and a woman in Western Australia.
Western Australia Police allege a group of men confronted a 27-year-old man in Smart Street Mall in Mandurah, south of Perth, about 1.30am on Tuesday.
Police said two of the men threw bricks at the victim who was struck in the head and knocked to the ground.
Another person is alleged to have tried to punch the victim before a woman aged in her 20s intervened to stop the fight.
She was also hit in the head with a brick.
The woman suffered a fractured skull, while the man required staples to a head wound.
Both were treated at Peel Health Campus.
Police have released images of four men who they believe may be able to help with the investigation.
According to a police statement, there was a large group of people in the area who may have witnessed the alleged assault.
