Woman's mugshot goes viral after being arrested for shoplifting

A woman who has been arrested for a number of alleged offences, including drug possession and shoplifting, has seen her mugshot go viral.

Alyssa Zebrasky, 27, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a Walmart in Ohio on Wednesday, Fox 8 reports.

It is alleged after her arrest police found small bags containing meth and a needle.

She has also been charged with drug possession and theft, according to her arrest record.

But her mugshot seems to be getting more attention than the reason behind her arrest.

Zebrasky has a facial tattoo with a spiderweb on her forehead, lines on her lips and what appears to be skeleton tattoos around her eyelids referencing Mexico’s Day of the Dead.

When Fox 10 Phoenix shared news of her arrest its Facebook feed was flooded with more than 1300 comments.

I just can’t imagine why she got so much attention,” one man said.

“I wonder how they identified her,” another man wrote in jest.

Another added he was “surprised anyone recognised her”.

Others likened her tattoos to that of characters from the Disney movie Coco – a CGI movie inspired by the Day of the Dead.

Zebrasky was also arrested following a car chase in November, Fox 8 reported.

It is not known when Zebrasky got her first facial tattoos but the New York Post noted she first declared she was getting ink done back in 2012 on her Facebook account.

Photos on that account show her without the facial tattoos and with long, blonde hair.

She is seen with some tattoos on her arms.

In June last year, mugshots of a thieving US drug dealer were shared showing his drastic transformation due to facial tattoos over a period of almost 10 years.

Last month, a Florida man’s mugshot made global headlines due to the size of his neck.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office shared a picture of Charles Dion McDowell who had been charged with fleeing police along with the possession of the drug ice and other drugs.

While McDowell’s alleged crimes sound serious, Facebook users were more interested in the size of his neck, with more than 280,000 people commenting on his appearance.

“They gonna put him in jail and throat away the key,” one man wrote.
