Woman's disturbing discovery after hearing 'whispering' in her room
A woman has made a chilling discovery after installing a camera in her room, claiming she heard someone whispering "hateful things" as she slept.
Known as Rosa on TikTok, the American woman said she thought her home was haunted at first which left her feeling spooked, but video footage confirmed what it really was.
Footage from the camera showed a woman standing over her bed in the middle of the night, with Rosa claiming it's her mother-in-law.
Her boyfriend's mum lives with them in her house as she just got out of prison, she said. But she's normally "really nice" so she was shocked by the revelation.
"So I think its a ghost in my room but it turns out it was my boyfriend's mom coming in my room and saying those things while I slept while hovering over me," she revealed in a viral video on TikTok.
Shocking discovery: 'Weird voice'
The TikTok user decided to record the sounds in her room after seeing an advertisement for a mobile app.
"I was on TikTok one day scrolling and those ads always pop up like ‘record yourself in your sleep at night and hear yourself fart’ or something.
"So I wanted to do that and I didn’t hear myself snore but I started hearing this really weird voice like whispering in my ear."
Rosa claims to have heard "hateful things" including, "you’re so ugly" and "I hate you", as well as "curse words" she didn't want to repeat.
"This happened for like three days in a row," she claimed, admitting she never suspected her mother-in-law.
After setting up the camera, she allegedly didn't hear anything for a couple of days.

"But one random night I saw her coming into my room and I thought maybe she is looking for something because she got off work late that day but no she started hovering over me," she said.
"To this day I still don’t know what I did to her that week."
'This is not okay'
Rosa detailed the strange encounter in a series of clips on TikTok which has left some people concerned. She even shared the spooky image of the woman standing at her bed.
Rosa claims she hasn't confronted her boyfriend's mum yet, in fact, she didn't even tell her boyfriend.
But people on TikTok addressed the potential danger of the situation and urged her to report it.
"How did you not tell your boyfriend immediately!! I would have," one said
"Literally call the cops on her NOT okay," said another.
Others said the chilling act is "threatening" and "not safe" as they warned how "scary" it is.
"Honestly the fact that she’s doing it when you sleep is very scary! I get being nice but nice will get you hurt girl," one person warned.
"She could hurt you in your sleep and I feel like you’re not taking it serious enough, it’s your house it’s your safety," said another.
But Rosa insists "I'm ok", saying "I don't think anything is going to happen to me".
"I genuinely do like her," she said. "At least she's not saying it to my face."
But her comments didn't sit well with some who said she need "a serious reality check."
"No matter how angry somebody is it’s not normal whatsoever to threaten someone while they’re sleeping," someone fumed.
