Woman's desperate race onto tarmac after missing her flight

A woman has tried to chase down a plane on the runway of an Indonesian airport after she missed her flight.

The woman, identified as Hana, wasn’t content with the response from staff at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on Sunday when she was told she was unable to board the flight heading to Jakarta.

Despite the airport calling her name three times, she was nowhere to be seen as the gates closed, an airport spokesperson told Channel News Asia.

However 10 minutes before the flight was due to depart, the woman breached security and set off after the plane as it readied itself on the tarmac.

Ground staff were able to restrain the woman, with footage of the woman on the ground appearing on social media.

The airline, Citilink, confirmed the incident and said the woman fell to the ground once she realised the plane was moving, Detik News reported.

Despite her antics, the airline confirmed she was put on a flight later in the day.
