Woman urged to come forward after missing man's body found in hotel

Queensland Police have launched a major investigation, after a missing man was found dead at a Cairns hotel.

Detectives had been trying to find Anthony Brady since Thursday, when family reported him missing after he failed to return from a trip to Cairns.

A body was found at the Sunshine Tower's Hotel on Friday evening.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the 52-year-old.

Police are waiting on the results of a post-mortem examination, but believe Mr Brady died at least 24 hours earlier.

They are now searching for the last person believed to have seen him alive - a 32-year-old woman who is known to police.

Detectives want to speak to her, and anyone else who may have information or saw something unusual at the Sunshine Towers Hotel.
