A woman has been injured after being "trampled" by two stags in Cornwall, police say.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers attended Couch's Mill, near Lostwithiel, at about 08:00 BST due to "concerns around public safety" and reports that the two animals had their antlers "entangled".

Officers said the woman was taken to hospital for treatment on injuries which were not deemed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

"One deer broke free and left the area. The other was left to recover with no further safety concerns," police said.
