Woman's video goes viral after viewers spot 'unsettling' detail in background

With the global emergence of TikTok, millions of young people are vying to become famous on the platform.

And while many hope their dance moves or comedic charm scores them millions of views, some have gone viral for other reasons.

One woman who shared a video of her dance routine on the app last month has clocked up millions of views on the clip, but it was her two cats who stole the show with an untimely scrap on top of a wardrobe in the background of the clip.

The clip was later shared to an Indonesian Twitter account and has since racked up 3.8 million views.

The two cats can be seen sitting facing each other on top of a wardrobe before launching a flurry of swipes at each other.

The woman dancing in the video appears oblivious to the chaos behind her.

“That unsettled business in the background,” one Twitter user commented with a handful of laughing face emojis.

“The cats are going to WAR,” another declared.

“Real show are the cats,” someone else observed.

While the impromptu fight has been well received on TikTok, there has been concern the spike in popularity of the app has led to a worrying trend in dangerous acts to go viral.

A popular trend dubbed the “skull breaker” recently circulated on the app where two people kick the legs away from an unwitting person who is told to jump in the air.

Local media in Brazil reported that a 16-year-old had died from the trend, with experts warning taking part in such viral trends puts people’s safety at risk.
