Woman who stopped to help crash victim hit by a car

A woman has been hit by a vehicle after stopping to help the victim of a car crash.

The woman aged in her 20s had stopped at a crash scene, east of Toowoomba, on Monday about 3.20pm.

It is believed while she was standing at the side of the road another vehicle, which was not involved in the collision, hit her.

She was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital by RACQ’s LifeLight Rescue helicopter in a serious but stable condition.

The woman was suffering from leg injuries.

Another person was transported in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital while two others declined to be taken to hospital.
