Woman with serious injuries dies following collision

A woman who suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision in rural Norfolk has died in hospital.

Norfolk Police said the crash - between a blue Suzuki Swift and a black Volvo - happened on the Fakenham Road near the junction with Gorgate Drive in Beetley, near Dereham, at 10:38 GMT Norfolk on Tuesday.

The driver of the Suzuki, a woman in her 60s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries.

She was transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where she died on Wednesday, police said.

The occupants of the Volvo did not require hospital treatment.

The force has appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage in the area before the incident to get in touch.
