In the clip, influencer Dean Withers, who is known for his liberal political views on social media, questioned conservative influencer Emily Wilson about her support for Donald Trump in light of his role in overturning Roe v. Wade.

He said, "I legitimately don’t see how you as a woman could stand for someone that’s overturned Roe v. Wade, rescinding the right to get an abortion back to the state."

Wilson interrupted him, then said, "I think it should be state-by-state." When asked why, she replied, "That’s fine. I think if everyone wants — if everyone in the state wants something, go ahead and have it," she said.

Withers responded, "So, if everyone in Alabama wanted slavery back you’d be OK with that?"

"Sure, if everyone in the state wants it, go ahead. What do I give a shit?" Wilson said as she shrugged.

Withers's jaw dropped.

The host of the show, influencer and YouTuber Aaron Steinberg, seemed to get uncomfortable and said, "Alright, let's go next topic."

Withers then compared the "state-by-state" argument to the one the Confederacy used during the Civil War to justify slavery.

Wilson called it "an irrelevant argument," and said, "...if everyone in the state wants something, sure, let 'em have it."

In the comments, people were very critical of Wilson's view. One person said, "as long as it doesn't affect them, whatever, right?"

Another person pointed out, "There's not a single thing that everyone in any state wants."

And finally, this person asserted Dean's Confederacy argument is "actually completely relevant."
