Woman robbed while 'visiting son's grave'
A woman has been assaulted and robbed at a cemetery in Sydney’s northwest while reportedly visiting her son’s grave.
The 52-year-old woman was visiting Riverstone Cemetery on Tuesday at about 3.40pm, police said.
A man then approached her and removed her handbag from her vehicle. The pair were involved in what police described as a “short struggle”, the man pushed the woman and left in a red-coloured hatchback car.
The 52-year-old had been visiting her son’s grave, 2GB reports.
An investigation has begun and police are appealing for anyone with information about the alleged robbery to contact them.
A man might also be able to assist police with their investigation. He’s described as being 30 to 35 years old, between 170 and 175cm tall, with a medium build and was last seen wearing a grey hat and Khaki pants.
